FCC Approves FirstNet Tech Requirements

The 15 members of the Technical Advisory Board for First Responder Interoperability moved quickly this spring to create a set of technical requirements for the first ever nationwide Public Safety Broadband network which spawned from HR3630, also known as the Spectrum Act passed in February.

The goal of the requirements was to hold interoperability of higher importance than cost, system control, and any other factors surrounding the network.
Federal Communications Commission (FCC) received the interoperability requirements from the in May from the board, and recently approved the parameters.
