Sandra Black Receives Radio Club of America Award

EMR President Sandra Black, Vice President of the RCA and Special Recognition Award Recipient

EMR Consulting's Sandra L. Black will be the 2012 recipient of the Radio Club of America's (RCA) Special Recognition Award. Mrs. Black has been a member of the RCA since 1999, and a fellow member since 2007. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Club since 2009 and served as Awards Chair for 2010 and 2011 Awards.

As one of very few women business owners in the Public Safety telecommunications industry, Mrs. Black is President & CEO of three companies including EMR Consulting, Inc. of Indiana, EMR Consulting Group, LLC of Illinois, both specializing in Public Safety/Homeland Security Telecommunications, and Rockyedge Enterprises, LLC of Indianapolis, IN, specializing in antenna construction in the telecommunications industry, as well as custom residential and commercial construction projects. She is responsible for the licensing, engineering and regulatory maintenance many public safety systems throughout the nation. She is a trailblazer in her field, having been one of the first in the nation to obtain licensing for a VHF Trunked Network, a Slow Growth Waiver for a VHF Narrowband trunking, and to build a Microwave helicopter surveillance system.   Mrs. Black is also proud to be one of the first to initialize federal programs within local public safety systems.

The award will be presented at this year's Annual Awards Banquet at the New York Athletic Club.
