PSHSB Calls for Comments on UHF T-Band Spectrum

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) opened up comment proceedings Monday, calling for comments on options for the 470-512 MHz (UHF T-Band) spectrum.

The Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act of 2012 mandated the reallocation of this spectrum which requires Public Safety entities to migrate off of the spectrum within nine years of the Act.  The FCC suspended certain T-Band applications in April 2012, in order to stabilize the spectral environment while issues surrounding the future of the spectrum were considered.

For detailed information on this issue, see the Public Notice.
