The FCC is taking steps toward implementing the Spectrum Act this week. The D-block spectrum was allocated to FirstNet from the Public Safety Spectrum Trust (PSST) in an order released Monday.
This move allows FirstNet to apply for the license for the spectrum it is entitled to under
the legislation.
The firstNet Board will have its kickoff meeting September 25, and we will all be watching eagerly to see how this network is planned out and implemented.
