International Fire/EMS Safety and Health Week is June 17-23
Firefighters and EMS responders spend their careers protecting the health, safety, and property of the public, so International Fire/EMS Safety and Health Week is an opportunity to focus on their own well-being. There are many obvious reasons for individuals to stay informed on safety guidelines and pay attention to their physical and mental health, but if none of those are enough for you- consider this. A sick or injured firefighter/EMS responder cannot do their jobs properly and therefore the public may suffer. Safe and healthy firefighters/EMTs make a safe and healthy public.
This year's theme is "Rules of Engagement: Rules YOU can LIVE by."
