700 MHz Public Safety Clearinghouse Deadline Suspended

Last week the FCC suspended its May 31 deadline for all Public Safety 700 MHz waiver recipients to consolidate their relationships into a common clearinghouse with commercial roaming partners for management purposes and to resolve payment issues.

The use of their common public landmobile number identification has caused a bit of confusion, and officials are working to resolve these issues for the 22 waiver recipients.  Because of HR3630, the FCC decided to not require agencies to utilize scarce resources for the clearinghouse, since there are some unresolved broadband provisions waiting in the wings.
