National Public Safety Telecommunications Week

Happy National Public Safety Telecommunications Week to all of our associates, clients, and peers.  What is this celebration and how does one observe it?  Look no further than APCO's webpage on the topic.

Public Safety personnel have devoted their careers and in some cases risked their lives protecting their fellow man.  They deserve a lot more kudos than just a week-long pat on the back, but it's a start.

Some ways dispatch centers and communications divisions are celebrating are:
  • Food, of course.  You can even ask local businesses to donate to your celebration, as many are happy to support Public Safety.
  • Awards ceremonies.
  • Gifts for superior officers from their subordinates, or vise versa.  It's always nice to be appreciated no matter what your station.
  • Family-style cookouts or carry-ins.
  • Hosting training classes and other services for the community.
  • Office decorations.
  • Open houses to educate the public on what you do.
  • Photo boards and mass emails recognizing notable, hard-working officials.
We invite you to share some of the ways you're celebrating this year!  Pictures and anecdotes are more than welcome!  Just comment below, or send us an email.

To all of our clients: we congratulate you on your achievements and thank you for your service and your business.
